How Macquarie manages your clients’ money

Macquarie actively manages your clients' money, diversifying it across these ranges:

  Target% Range%
Australian shares 10 0-20
International shares 10 0-20
Property 5 0-10
Australian fixed interest 35 0-70
International fixed interest 10 0-20
Cash 30 0-60
Alternative Assets 0 0

The approach works like this:

  • the funds invest your clients’ money in specialised sector pools run by teams with expertise in each asset class
  • a specialist asset allocation team also takes positions away from the strategic benchmark weightings to take advantage of short-term market conditions
  • the strategic benchmark is reviewed every three to five years.

Information for your clients

Three key benefits to tell your clients
  1. the potential for consistent income
  2. reduced risk through a portfolio diversified across major asset classes
  3. the flexibility to switch to the Macquarie Balanced or Managed Growth Funds if your needs change.
This product might suit clients who
  • want to supplement their retirement income
  • want to supplement their salary
  • are about to retire or have retired and are looking for some capital growth (but with less short-term fluctuations than with a balanced or growth investment)
  • want to diversify their investments across a variety of asset classes.
