Macquarie Property Securities Trust

If your clients want to receive a competitive income stream while building wealth over time, consider listed property. The Macquarie Property Securities Trust gives your clients an actively-managed portfolio with exposure to most sectors of the Australian property market from tourism to industrial property.

The Macquarie Property Securities Trust offers your clients:

  • exposure to more than 30 listed property securities
  • the potential for both competitive, tax deferred income and capital growth
  • increased diversification by spreading their investment across a variety of sectors
  • a higher level of liquidity than an investment directly into property
  • a regular contributions plan to help them save.

The Fund aims to perform better than the S&P/ASX 200 Listed Property Trust Accumulation Index over five years.

How Macquarie manages your clients’ money

We actively manage your clients’ funds and aim to add value for them over a passive benchmark - the S&P/ASX 200 Listed Property Trust Accumulation Index.

We invest in listed property securities that give your clients exposure to property sectors like:

  • retail
  • industrial
  • commercial
  • tourism
  • infrastructure.

We extensively analyse the property markets and economic factors that drive property earnings, to determine which sectors of the property market will perform strongly.  To increase diversification and enhance returns, we can also invest in stocks outside the property index, such as infrastructure securities, up to a maximum of 10% of the portfolio.

How Macquarie adds value for your clients

We add value to your clients' portfolios by taking advantage of volatility in asset prices.

We do this by identifying the underlying forces that are changing investor expectations and moving asset prices. The forces we believe change investor expectations in the Australian listed property trust market are:

  • long-term distribution growth
  • how sustainable the current yield is
  • the quality of management.

By analysing and understanding these forces, we aim to deliver added value to your clients.
