More about forestry
- An ecologically sustainable development. The establishment of forestry plantations can deliver environmental benefits such as a reducing the reliance on native forests and increasing the absorption of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
- Growing global demand for paper. The main drivers of growth include increased paper consumption by emerging economies such as China and Indonesia as well as constraints on traditional sources of supply.
- Australia's strategic advantage. Australia's strategic proximity to the Asia-Pacific region provides a significant cost competitive advantage due to lower shipping costs.
